Importing Outlook Contact Categories as Legrand Keywords

Many people use Outlook contacts categories as a way of classifying their contacts, this document is designed to help users import these categories as Legrand contacts Keywords.

Export Outlook contact list to excel 

1. In MS Outlook go to file > import and export. Select Export to a file, select Next.

2. Select to export to a Microsoft Excel file, Next.

3. Select which contacts folder to export, Next.

4. Select where to save the exported file, Next > Finish.

Import Contacts into Legrand

Using Legrand’s custom MS Outlook integration, import Contacts into Legrand CRM.

1. Log in Legrand CRM, Go to the MS Outlook module.

Note. If you wish to see Outlook Express Public folders, go to Administration > User Options > Display Public Folders

2. Select the desired contacts to import.

Create Legrand Contact Keywords

1. Log in Legrand CRM, Go to the Contact module.
2. Select Contacts Keywords change button.
3. Add Outlook Categories as Keywords. 

Format exported spreadsheet

Format the exported Outlook contacts spreadsheet, so it can be imported into Legrand CRM.

4 fields are required for import First Name, Last Name, Phone No. and Category (Keyword).

Note Each keyword requires a separate record (row).

Save file as .csv type for import into Legrand.

Import into Legrand

1. File > Import > Contacts Keywords
2. Select the export file formatted above.
